AAAH!

Taking on the project of doing my National Board Certification, while pregnant, with a 2 year old, and working part-time....pretty much insane! I would not recommend it to anyone.
I am learning a lot about myself as a teacher, and know I will be better because of the process. But the concept of finishing 4 papers and a huge test is so daunting when all I want to do is sleep when I have spare time....
Ok- enough whining :-0 Just thought I'd put that out there.
Back to work!

blogging break

I am a horrible blogger I have decided. I think I just got so overwhelmed at the thought of all I wanted to post, that I just stopped. I am one of those people you are always thinking...gee I wish they would hurry up and update their blog :-)
My goal is to try and get some pictures up so that when baby #2 comes- I might be able to keep it up.
Speaking of- for those who don't know...
We are expecting baby #2 sometime around March 1. We are super excited- although I think I am still somewhat in a state of shock that we are already to the point where we are expecting a second child AND I just turned 30....when did I get so old?!

Birthday

Connor's second birthday has come and gone, and I can hardly believe it! Where did the time go? My baby has so quickly turned into a little boy.
He is opinionated and sweet. Caring and yet still all boy. He loves cuddling, and we are still working on giving up his binky.
He loves to help! Is always wanting to help set the table, pick up weeds, (not so much clean up toys...) make waffles, and so on.
He LOVES trains, trucks, cows, and soccer :-) LOVES his bike, especially if someone will push him around.
He is recently very into babies- since cousin Claire was born (and he noticed BOP (Grandpa) holding the baby).
He is starting to be a lot more interactive with his toys. The "babies" he has (dolls that Brendan and I had when we were younger) both had "poopy" diapers the other day and needed to be cleaned up. He loves to vroom his trucks around and crash them into each other. Trains, on the other hand, are NOT supposed to leave the tracks...picture below shows the meltdown that ensued the first time the choo choo's crashed off the track.
I could go on and on :-) I am so thankful for my little boy!

DISNEYLAND

We made it!
Inching closer to the motorized cart...Mom saying "No, Connor"
Notice the mischievous look on his face as he moves even closer!
Waiting and still waiting for Dad and Aunt Tara to come with the coffee they HAD to stop for.
Meanwhile Mom (Me) is getting anxious because I can SEE lines forming!!!
Connor's first Disney ride~It's a Small World
Here we go...front row so Connor can see
My boys are enthralled
All decked out for Christmas
Second ride (Dumbo)...clarification: He is not upset with the ride, but the fact he can't touch the water.
Off we go!
DUMB circus ride- the workers here were cranky...not up to par with my customer service expectation~especially at Disneyland!
Time to crash on Mom...again thank goodness for my Ergo backpack, not sure why Brendan is bending over like he is touching his toes...nice behind honey :-)
Connor and "Bop"~ the first person who was ALLOWED (according to C) to hold him after being in Mom's arms all AM
HMMM...not sure about this Mom.
Maybe this "bo-bo" (my parent's dog's name) is ok
Time for lunch
Mom and Tara
Tongs are great for many things
Got you "bop"
Awww...grown-up ride on Big Thunder Mountain (C with my parents)
TRAIN RIDE (Connor's FAVORITE was the Choo-Choo's!
Disneyland at night
Space Mountain- the longest wait...about 45 minutes
Pretty castle
Ummm...AMAZING (Small World)

Well, what can I say?! The first day was amazing and tiring...Connor was way overstimulated after It's a Small Word, Dumbo, and a really dumb circus train ride (the workers were cranky-so I was not a fan)- He totally crashed for about an hour in the backpack. So everyone else went on a ride while I walked around. When he woke up we went to get lunch and then more rides.
In the evening we left Connor sleeping in the condo with Grandma and Bop and went back to Disneyland to conquer Indiana Jones and Space Mountain. Then we went home to crash... our goal was to get up early, get to Disneyland right when it opened, hit Autopia and Pirates of the Caribbean, and then head over to CA Adventure before leaving Anaheim for Palm Springs just in time for a Connor nap in the car.... MORE TO COME!
