DISNEYLAND

We made it!
Inching closer to the motorized cart...Mom saying "No, Connor"
Notice the mischievous look on his face as he moves even closer!
Waiting and still waiting for Dad and Aunt Tara to come with the coffee they HAD to stop for.
Meanwhile Mom (Me) is getting anxious because I can SEE lines forming!!!
Connor's first Disney ride~It's a Small World
Here we go...front row so Connor can see
My boys are enthralled
All decked out for Christmas
Second ride (Dumbo)...clarification: He is not upset with the ride, but the fact he can't touch the water.
Off we go!
DUMB circus ride- the workers here were cranky...not up to par with my customer service expectation~especially at Disneyland!
Time to crash on Mom...again thank goodness for my Ergo backpack, not sure why Brendan is bending over like he is touching his toes...nice behind honey :-)
Connor and "Bop"~ the first person who was ALLOWED (according to C) to hold him after being in Mom's arms all AM
HMMM...not sure about this Mom.
Maybe this "bo-bo" (my parent's dog's name) is ok
Time for lunch
Mom and Tara
Tongs are great for many things
Got you "bop"
Awww...grown-up ride on Big Thunder Mountain (C with my parents)
TRAIN RIDE (Connor's FAVORITE was the Choo-Choo's!
Disneyland at night
Space Mountain- the longest wait...about 45 minutes
Pretty castle
Ummm...AMAZING (Small World)

Well, what can I say?! The first day was amazing and tiring...Connor was way overstimulated after It's a Small Word, Dumbo, and a really dumb circus train ride (the workers were cranky-so I was not a fan)- He totally crashed for about an hour in the backpack. So everyone else went on a ride while I walked around. When he woke up we went to get lunch and then more rides.
In the evening we left Connor sleeping in the condo with Grandma and Bop and went back to Disneyland to conquer Indiana Jones and Space Mountain. Then we went home to crash... our goal was to get up early, get to Disneyland right when it opened, hit Autopia and Pirates of the Caribbean, and then head over to CA Adventure before leaving Anaheim for Palm Springs just in time for a Connor nap in the car.... MORE TO COME!

Day 1

Just a teensy bit tired
Connor's first plane behind us...love my backpack!
First time at In-N-Out Burger
Close up of Connor under the Lego Giraffe
CRAZY Lego Giraffe

So to get to California someone thought it was a good idea to have a 7 AM flight out of SeaTac...on the day after Christmas that meant getting there at 5 AM. We had to pick up my parents and sister on the way and my brother who was going to drive the van back to their house for the week. This meant a wake-up time of 3:30 AM, we woke up Connor at the very last moment. So at 3:55 AM we woke him up, and when asked if he was ready for a BIG adventure he nodded his head vigorously :-)
He did amazing on the plane! Slept for the first hour and then played quietly with little presents Mommy and Daddy had packed for him.
When we finally got to CA everyone was hungry so we pulled off the freeway at the first In-N-Out Burger....why don't we have these up here?
By the time we got to the condo (RIGHT BY DISNEYLAND!) I was super excited to show my boys Disneyland...but Connor needed a nap- and BOY WAS IT A LONG ONE...he kept sleeping and sleeping. We finally woke him up and decided to go into Downtown Disney instead of Disneyland, since it was so late. The Lego store was amazing!!! We had a quick dinner (Connor was in full meltdown mode...and the rest of us were ready for bed by 7 or so). Gearing up for Disneyland!!!!

Celebrating Brendan's National Board Certification

Stephanie made Brendan's lovely party hat!
(Our good friends Bill and Stephanie)
The Knapp's
Tried to get a pic of my family that was there...
Grandma DeeDee was behind the camera AGAIN
"Call me Sir Jeffreys" :-) Love it.

I am SO proud of my smarty pants husband! He not only impresses the district so much that they contract him to write curriculum for them, and impresses the state so much that they hire him to work for them on scoring, writing problems...., he also gets the highest level of teaching certificate! WAY TO GO :-)

Christmas with Grandpa and dinner at Tara's

My camera stinks...this time it actually took the picture right before the cutest hug!
Usually it is too slow but I still thought this was endearing.

The boys :-)
Go away Finley :-) Finley (my sister's dog) LOVES Connor...to the point of knocking him down and licking him, Connor is not as thrilled about that greeting though.
My sister's house is always so festive! We love it.
